THE FINAL MASTER PIECE

WHAT IT WILL DO?

The masterpiece will integrated digital fabrication and electronics. It is going to be an installation -artifact that generates smells (electronics), and it will have two sensor in two rings (3Dprinted) to measure the movement (in Arduino), that according to that generate a "random" audio (in P5js) and, in addition, generates a graphic of that (in P5js).

The artifact is going to be a capsule (CNC cutted and vacuumed) with a steel soldered structure. The structure that contains the capsule and tubes. This tubes transmit smells from a plastic container with a fan and a humidifier (electronics).

WHOSE´S DONE WHAT BEFOREHAND?

I have references of every stage of the project but not together. I would like to have referenve from the gyroscope graphics that I want to do, because the examples that are open source and too "artistic / organic / random", and what I want to do is more an stadistic.

WHAT WILL YOU DESIGN

What I am design is the interface, the artifact, the graphics from P5 and the experience for the participants.

WHAT MATERIALS AND COMPONENTS WILL BE USED?

1. Foam (for the capsule shape).
2. Poliestilene (to vacuum the capsule).
3. Flexible tubes.
4. Fan + humidifier (to generate the smells)
5. PLA (to 3D print the rings)
6. Wires (to all the connections)
7. Computer (to connect the sensors and control the audio)
8. Headphones (to hear the experience)
9. Steel (to structure the artifact: capsule + tubes)

WHERE WILL COME FROM?

Some of them are from the street waste, like the tubes (not sure yet) and steel, others are bought, like the sensors, wires, poliestilene, and others are from FABLAB, like de PLA and Foam.

HOW MUCH WILL THEY COST?

Is the scale of the artifact suitable for human use?
Is the artifact attracts non-humans?
What is the estimated time of the experience?

HOW WILL IT BE EVALUATED?

If the previous answers are positive, the artifact works for the purpose for which it was designed.

Difficult to find parts, but probably the odor system can be ordered on request.
